The entire album is acoustic, with emphasis on guitar, and features dark melodies such as "Face of the Earth" and "Freak" as well as more upbeat songs like "The Down Town" and "Where I Stand." Promotion. Days of the New was a success, selling million copies tamiwohoudegend.payvefunmifanvivelobilordpotle.co: Post-grunge, acoustic rock, alternative rock.

The original Days of the New was a great album. After the band broke up and the DJ's dis'd everybody in sight, I shied away from spending the bucks on their 2nd release. After all, isn't the music a result of the whole band's effort and not just one person's?/5().

Hailing from Louisville, KY, via Charlestown, IN, Days of the New is a teenage alt-rock quartet that slams out heavy, post-grunge rock with the force of a group twice its age. Frontman Travis Meeks was only 17 at the time the group recorded its eponymous debut, but his songs aren't light, naïve things -- they are laden with heavy meanings and throttling chords.6/

daring, shotgunning in a dozen directions at once. About the only thing Days of the New shares with its equally hard-hitting but relatively one-dimensional predecessor is its title; that album had the feel of a post-grunge sorting-out, a young songwriter searching for his voice while still under the spell of Alice in Chains and Pearl Jam. After scrapping his old four-piece rock band.

The depths of his ambitions weren't evident when he and his group, Days of the New-- which is basically just him leading a crew of revolving touring bands and studio musicians, although they have settled down a bit around this third album -- had a hit with "Touch, Stand, and Peel," because it fit into the post-grunge murk of the mid-'90s.
