1. There was (when this set appeared) a lot of unreleased Mott The Hoople recordings in the vaults. Especially in the Island days, Mott recorded virtually everything they wrote, and seemed to spend any day they weren't gigging in the studio. Hence this CD which was a rag-tag collection of outtakes and demos from both the Island and CBS years.

3. May 04,  · It became Mott's biggest-selling album, and contains some beautiful Ian Hunter ballads, such as "I Wish I Was Your Mother" "Ballad of Mott the Hoople" and "Hymn for the Dudes". This CD contains a few extra tracks, one of which, "Rose", was the b-side of "Honaloochie Boogie", and is one of Mott's most beautiful songs. A classic album/5().
